Julia Okruashvili

Biography:

Born in Moscow in 1983, Julia Okruashvili graduated from Moscow Tschaikovsky Conservatory School in 1998 and received the Diploma with Honors from college (2002) under the supervision of Vera Horoshina.

After graduating Julia was accepted at the Moscow Conservatory in the class of Prof. Ludmila Roschina and graduated the Moscow Conservatory with Honors in 2007.

Prizewinner of the First Television Competition for young pianists, International Competition in Volgograd and the International Firkusny Competition in Prague in addition to Maria Yudina Competition in S. Petersburg, Julia Okruashvili participated in prestigious festivals “Ars-Longa”, “Moscow Autumn”, and “Slavonic Culture days in Moscow” as well as in Poland, Spain, Italy and Austria. Julia is a winner of the I. Archipova Charity Foundation Scholarship and T.Gaidamovich Memorial Scholarship. She was also selected for an orchestral debut in Vienna with the Mozart Concerto.

Since 2004 Julia collaborated with the world-renowned mezzo-soprano Elena Obraztsova. Together they gave performances in Moscow, S.Petersburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Khabarovsk Tomsk, Vladivostok and many other major cities in Russia.

In June 2007 Julia Okruashvili joined the “Meisterklasse” of the renowned Prof. Lev Natochenny where she perfects her art in the ‘Konzertexamen’ program.
